What’s so special about this light …

Named after the methodology that states an object can be analysed but not predicted, this pendant is art as much as light. White semi-transparent handblown glass spheres rain downwards from a cone a metre high, suspended from very thin yet strong steel rods, adding to both the function and aesthetic of this remarkable & memorable light.

From the Manufacturers:

Composed of glass spheres at different heights, Stochastic takes
on infinite combinations in a sort of controlled freedom: each sphere
is connected to small steel rods of different lengths that can be attached to the structure according to your own creative impulses. The light source
– a double high-efficiency LED module – is enclosed in the spheres, generat- ing warm indirect light aimed upward and downward.

Worth Noting

  • Requires careful, considered and time-consuming assembly
  • The light source is hidden in the middle of the glass globes - the glass globes are not lit themselves
  • There maybe globes that aren't illuminated (dark) when lit depending on assembly
  • Each globe is semi-transparent handblown glass
  • Handblown glass may have irregularities
  • Make sure to cover the light source when assembling
  • Each globe is hung on a slim steel rod
  • The height of the steel rods is not field cuttable (but the electric cable is)
  • Minimum height: 120 cm
  • May be tricky to keep clean
  • The electric cable runs through the steel rods and is visible and not straight
  • The canopy can be off-set from the centre of the pendant
  • Available with a choice of 2700K or 3000K
  • The canopy is black
  • The light shines all around but is concentrated in the middle
